Product Description
The HACman is back! After a redesign and re-qualification, the 3rd generation of HACman is now entering production and we are accepting advanced orders.
The HACman is a device that allows the operator to control the fuel/air mixture of a float carburetor equipped engine by turning a knob. The current HACman is the 3rd major version of the device. The 3rd generation HACman has a more compact and light weight body with anodized finish on all of the aluminum parts. The plastic pipe fittings have been upgraded to o-ring sealed brass pneumatic fittings for more secure and consistent plumbing of hoses. The proprietary internal components have also been redesigned to generate smoother and more consistent results.
The HACman gen 3 also includes a new manifold that doubles as a bulkhead pass through fitting for applications that have a firewall. This includes an o-ring seal against the firewall. The new manifold also incorporates the restricted orifice and a dedicated air filter. Previous versions of the HACman required the user to modify the engine air filter to add a barb fitting with a restricted orifice which required more lengths of tubing and clamp connections to be made. The new architecture makes for a cleaner plumbing installation.
Be sure to read the new HACman Gen 3 Installation and Operations Manual is available here.
HKS and early Rotax 912 users may require a reducer tee in addition to the basic HACman kit to access manifold pressure. A reduce tee is available here.
